Rich began his career at Avant Gold in July of 1984 after graduating from Rhema Bible College in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He worked at the store part-time, while youth pastoring part-time for a local church. He came aboard full-time in 1987 as manager, and has called Avant Gold home ever since.

Rich’s first love has always been people. He enjoys helping his customers find just the right piece of jewelry to help make that birthday or anniversary a memorable one. His second love at the store is watches. The combination of aesthetic design, technology, and old-world craftsmanship appeals to the artisan within him.

Rich lives in Lutz with his beautiful wife of 26 years, Marie, and his two daughters, Jennifer and Lauren. Jennifer is a student at the University of Florida while Lauren is finishing up her high school years at Sickles High School. In his leisure time Rich teaches Bible classes at his church, plays golf and basketball and has become an avid college sports fan. Go Gators!
