Avant Gold Jewelers has maintained a presence in the Tampa Bay area for over 27 years. It all began on Main Street in Metuchen, New Jersey where Jeff & Suanne opened their first jewelry store "From the Hands of Man". The store specialized primarily in hand made Indian Jewelry and American Crafts. The store flourished but after five years they yearned for a new location and chose the sunny Florida west coast.

Jeff & Suanne renamed their new business "Avant Gold Jewelers" suggestive of the avant-garde art movement that expressed their progressive ideas.  Avant Gold Jewelers began the course they would continue to follow with an emphasis on personal attention and the latest in quality jewelry. Success was inevitable with Avant Gold's highly trained staff including veteran sales associates, a GIA graduate Gemologist, an on site jeweler, a certified fine watch repairman, as well as Suanne’s custom design.

Avant Gold's exquisitely designed 4,500 sq. foot showroom has created a refreshing space to showcase the many fine designer lines they feature. The store is fashioned in oak, ash and cherry wood with fresh flowers and custom delectables spread throughout. The idea behind the motif is clean and simple, warm and inviting, nothing to distract from the jewelry. Some of the many designer jewelry lines appearing at Avant Gold include Jeff Cooper, Scott Kay, Michael B., Charles Krypell, Chimento and one of the largest selections of David Yurman in the Tampa Bay area. Avant Gold also features many fine Swiss watch lines including Rolex, Panerai, and Michele Watch. They also offer many unusual and colorful museum quality art glass items like Kosta Boda, and Orient and Flume.

This store creates a wonderful shopping experience - elegant, contemporary and welcoming. The highly experienced staff will provide you with an exceptional retail encounter and the two stately Irish Wolfhounds are almost always at the entrance to warmly and gently greet you. Above all Avant Gold takes pride in their customer service.  People do not always come into the store to buy a piece of jewelry.  A customer may have a treasured piece that needs a stone replaced, an appraisal or a simple cleaning.
